Ma Muoi: A Lifetime of Love and Legacy
At 90 years old, Ma Muoi stands as a true beacon of compassion and resilience. After the war, she discovered that many of her friends were lost, leaving their children behind. Unable to walk away, she opened her heart and home to these orphaned children. Over the years, as more children in need arrived, Ma Moi and her heavily disabled husband dedicated themselves to providing a safe haven, no matter the challenges.
Today, Ma Muoi cares for both healthy and severely disabled children, many of whom require lifelong support. Her mission is to ensure every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the chance for an education and a brighter future. Through tireless effort, she has created not just a shelter, but a thriving community of hope, love, and opportunity.

Tam’s Story: The Strength in Belonging
Abandoned as an infant at Linh Son Pagoda, Tam has spent nearly 30 years as part of the Minh Tam family. Born with cerebral palsy, his condition affects his motor skills, making everyday tasks a challenge. Yet, Tam finds joy in simple pleasures, like observing the world around him and expressing himself through drawing.
Thanks to recent generosity of donors, Tam now has a wheelchair that gives him newfound freedom to move and engage more fully with life at the orphanage. Loved by all, Tam’s resilience and spirit inspire everyone he meets, reminding us of the beauty in embracing differences and the transformative power of compassion.

Rising Stars: Stories of Hope and Transformation
Dropped off at Minh Tam Orphanage as a baby just a few weeks old, Van Tai grew up surrounded by the love and care of a unique community. While attending school, he became a big brother figure to the younger children, helping to nurture the same sense of hope he was given.
Today, Van Tai is pursuing a career as a barista, embracing Vietnam’s rich coffee culture. Inspired by the opportunities created through our solar projects, he’s also learning English, dreaming of one day traveling the world. Van Tai’s journey is a testament to the power of community, education, and the ripple effect of hope.

Pham Hong: The Hands That Keep Hope Going
Once an orphan herself, Pham Hong never forgot what it felt like to grow up without a family. After building a life in Ho Chi Minh City and raising two sons, she sold her house and used the money to open Thien An Orphanage, a home for children who, like her, had nowhere else to go.
What began as a plan to care for just a few children has now grown into a family of 37. Over the past 12 years, she’s raised more than 70 kids with quiet strength and endless heart. She also supports young women facing crisis pregnancies, offering to raise their children so they don’t feel alone.
Pham Hong’s story is proof that one person’s love can change hundreds of lives, and that sometimes, the smallest beginnings lead to the most powerful legacies.
