Thien An Orphanage

Pham Hong never imagined she’d run an orphanage.

She was just trying to survive. Raised in poverty, given up as a child, later adopted. When her adoptive parents moved to the U.S., she stayed behind in Vietnam, quietly building a life of her own. She found work at a garment factory, worked her way to a management role, raised two sons, and kept going.

But the thought never left her: what if I could give other children what I never had?

After her husband passed, she sold her home and bought a small block of land in Long A province. She moved in with her son and opened her doors. No grand opening, no funding, just a small house and a quiet intention to care for a few children who needed somewhere to go.

That was 2012.

She planned for four, maybe five. But word travels quickly when someone says yes. One child became six. Then more. Over 12 years, she has raised more than 70.

There are 37 children at Thien An today. Some are still learning to walk. Some have moved on, found jobs, or started families of their own. A few were reunited with relatives. But the ones who stay are raised not just with routine and rules, they are raised with intention.

Older kids help look after the younger ones. There’s no staff roster, no paid carers. Just Pham, her sons, and her daughter-in-law, each playing a role. Her elder son cooks and tends to the children, fixing phones on the side to help cover costs. Her younger son’s family works during the day, returns in the evenings. The plan is simple: when Pham is ready to step back, he will take over.

There’s no licensed playground here. No social media presence. Just a shared concrete yard where the children eat, study, and play and somehow make space for joy in all of it.

Support comes when it can. A local business donates rice each month. A neighbour once helped build an extra room. Most contributions are in-kind, because that’s how Ms. Hong prefers it: things she can give directly to the children.

She’s also known for something else…something quieter. When she hears about a woman facing an unexpected pregnancy, especially one considering abandoning her child, she reaches out. No judgement. Just a promise: Have the baby. I’ll take care of them.

Years ago, her adoptive family found her again. They offered to bring her to the U.S., to reunite. She said thank you, and stayed.

Because Thien An isn’t just a project. It’s her life’s work. One that keeps unfolding with every child who walks through the gate. There’s no spotlight here. No fundraising campaigns. But what’s happening inside these walls is no less extraordinary.

After we first visited, Pham told us she had been praying she could be eligible, but never imagined someone would choose her. She thought she was too small. Too under-resourced. But after speaking with local businesses, neighbours, even the police, it became clear: this place was special. And when the time came to tell her she was getting a solar system, her face said it all.

It was a moment that will stay with us forever.

At Prospectus Compounding Pharmacy, care isn’t something off the shelf, it’s built from scratch. Every formulation is tailored, every interaction personal. For them, trust is earned through consistency, integrity, and a commitment to improving lives, one prescription at a time.

That same philosophy is now reaching beyond their walls and halfway across the world.

By partnering with the Solar Connected PPA program, Prospectus found a way to align their sustainability values with something even bigger: giving children in under-resourced communities the tools to thrive. A portion of the proceeds from their solar system now helps fund the installation of free solar energy systems for orphanages across Southeast Asia.

Their participation helped bring solar power to Thien An Orphanage, a home run by a former orphan who now cares for dozens of children, many of whom had nowhere else to go. With energy bills reduced, more funds can now go towards essentials like food, education, and long-term care.

This isn’t just about being energy-conscious. It’s about conscious business. Where doing well and doing good can happen at the same time.

Because when power is shared, possibility is too.

In Proud Artistic Collaboration With

Nanieko and Miksketched

This collaboration brings together two standout artists with styles as different as night and day and somehow, that’s exactly what makes it magic.

Miksketched creates with colour, emotion, and characters that leap straight into your heart. Her work is vibrant, surreal, and full of energy, the kind of art that doesn’t whisper, but radiates. For this collection, Miksketched softened her usual edge to explore something warmer, gentler, and full of quiet hope.

Nanieko, by contrast, is pure play. From penguins on heads to fried egg hats, her world is bold, joyful, and instantly recognisable. With a background in professional animation, her work fills every frame with charm, heart, and characters you can’t help but love, all while carrying an intentional message of comfort and support.

Together, they’ve brought light, colour, and care into every piece…not just to make something beautiful, but to give something back.

This collaboration is more than a collection.

It’s a shared story, and a little burst of joy for anyone who finds it.

Nanieko | @nani3k0

Nanieko’s art has always been playful; cats in costume, colours that pop, characters full of joy. But for this art collection, there was something deeper behind the fun.

“I wanted to create art that feels like comfort. A sense of safety and positivity. A safe space, even for just a moment.”

Every piece is designed to spark happiness, with vibrant colours, bold contrasts, and her signature sense of playfulness.

“I hope collectors feel a moment of joy. Even a smile. That’s everything.”

This was her first official collab with longtime friend Miksketched, and one that meant more than just creating together.

“It’s an honour to contribute to something that gives kids hope for a brighter future.”

Because for Nanieko, art isn’t just an escape, it’s a gift. And she gives it with heart in every frame.

Miksketched | @miksketched_

Miksketched is known for bold characters, surreal forms, and colour that hits like a burst of static, the kind of art that pulls you in, then spins you around.

But this time, something shifted.

“I wanted to show feelings of calm and hope.”

For a creator drawn to broken shapes and loud aesthetics, this drop became something new — a chance to explore softness, and to share the canvas with a longtime friend.

“It was lovely to finally create something with Nanieko. I also realised… I need to draw more heartwarming scenes.”

And behind it all? A mission worth showing up for.

“It’s a good feeling to contribute to something meaningful.”

Because even in Miksketched’s wildest worlds, there’s always something human underneath.

This collection just turned the volume down so that feeling could shine through.
