Cambodia faces unique challenges, with much of the population living in poverty and rural areas severely underdeveloped. Orphanages here often operate in makeshift conditions, providing care for children who are not only orphaned but also abandoned due to extreme poverty. Many of these children lack access to proper schooling and healthcare, with the facilities relying heavily on outside donations for survival. Unlike Vietnam, where facilities often balance basic care with education, Cambodian orphanages are frequently focused on meeting the immediate survival needs of the children.

Solar energy offers a transformative solution by reducing operating costs, enabling these facilities to provide consistent meals, safe housing, and eventually invest in long-term education initiatives for the children’s future.

Vinasol has been instrumental in helping us kickstart our initial solar installations in Cambodia, bringing their expertise and resources to ensure the success of these impactful projects. Their contributions have enabled us to provide sustainable energy to orphanages and community facilities, reducing operating costs and empowering these organisations to focus on supporting vulnerable children. However, as our mission in Cambodia grows, we are actively seeking more local partners who share our vision of creating lasting change.
